silk painting

Just spent a few hours painting on silk. Love the interesting and varied results that I got from painting with this medium.

I made the best

I made the best Ratatoulle yesterday. Even my husband loved it, who disliked the dish prepared the traditional way.
Here is what I did:
Cut in, chunks an eggplant, Peppers, onion, Garlic, cauliflower, chopped herbs(oregano, rosemary, parsley, etc.)
Add a can of fire roasted crushed tomatoes, olive oil, salt, crushed re pepper, mix and roast in a lined baking pan at 400 till soft. There is no cleanup.
Just take out of the pan and enjoy with a glass of re red wine and crusty bread.

HERBS

After we moved, I decided to plant an herb garden in three large pots. I put the pots right outside the kitchen door that leads to the patio.

The herbs are just mature enough to use them in small amounts. I made roasted red potatoes with chunks of garlic and several chopped herbs.

The potatoes are brown and full of flavor.

My daughter came through for me yet again. Whenever I need help with the computer, she is there to give me a lesson. I am so lucky to have her as my best friend.

unpacking is sooo much more stressful then packing. Still can’t find my printer.

Have to start doing Tai Chi again for my health. Everyone should do Tai Chi. The world would be a better place with all that Chi generated .

Moving

It is so much fun to move, I should do it once a month. Only kidding. It is no wonder that moving is one of the most stressful time in one’s life. But, I have a remedy, some smooth jazz,  a Margarita and regroup.

Having a friend to talk to like my daughter helps immensely.

Vacation day with family

I am very lucky to have a daughter that is so very talented and devoted. She set up this blog for me which I hope to keep updated with posts about my family and my art.

We had a great day at the water park in Delray Beach and went for lunch to Dock’s on Atlantic. After lunch we went to the Sundy House Gardens. What a neat place!!!!
